I did not want to go to work today. But alas, I had to. I dropped off those samples at that Comos lighting place. They weren't there, but the elevator worked and I was able to just leave them outside the door. Praise the heavens.
So I arrived a few minutes late to work and Laura and Alia were already at the front desk so I moved to the library today. And Anna's dog was there!! She has an ADORABLE Australian shepherd named Hudson. He liked me. He would just sleep right behind my chair or under my legs under the desk. HE was such a cutie. But I basically did nothing until lunch time. Really, nothing.
I met mother and Emily for lunch and we went to Medina's cafe. It was really really good. They went shopping at forever 21 afterward but I had to leave early to go back to work. However at this time it was almost 3:30 so I only had about 2 and a half hours left. HOORAY.
Laura said that Esther might have some paper for us to fold to put in a spec binder and that she'd let us know when she needed us. But about a half hour later Laura emailed me from across the room saying that it was already done because there really wasn't a lot of papers and if I needed help with anything. I suggested to go through the last remaining colored fabric bins and just organize them.
So she came in and we worked on that. Alia came in after a while too and the three of us just went through fabric until close. Laura left about 15 minutes early to meet her sister somewhere so me and Alia closed. The last 20 minutes couldn't have lasted any longer. I think 20 people were gone today and few people had even left earlier today. SO SO SO BORING.
Finally I could leave. I went home and had a snack and then me, mother, and emily went off to times square to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. SO GOOD. It was so amazing. And the singers in that production are all unbelievably amazing singers. It ended around 10:30 so we just went back home. My legs were so sore today. And I'm pretty darn sure it's from those 22 floors of stairs while carrying 10 pounds of glass. My calves are killing me. Ha. It's not fun. But the play was amazing!
And I can sleep in tomorrow! Best days ever.
