Weird - I'm now down to single digit work days left. 9. And 19 more days here total . How fast its going by...
The day was just kind of filled with little odd jobs here and there. I created and sent some package for Ceci to Hong Kong, then called the courier company and gave them the addresses to two packages that Rose and HeeSeung needed picked up and delivered. Laura was downstairs helping Winston with something for a bit this morning, so I was running the front.
A couple people came in saying they had meetings with people, and of course each had super super strong accents. I can never ever understand them. Haha. I'm always calling up whoever they want to talk to and struggling to relay who it is and what company they're from because I couldn't catch it in the first three tries.
After lunch, me and Laura spent about an hour preparing this SUPER expensive Lalique glass sample to be shipped to Canada. It was worth somewhere between $400-600. Scary. I must have bubbled wrapped that thing a million times. We found a perfectly shaped box for it and lined that with paper and bubble wrap as well and then taped the words FRAGILE - GLASS in red ink on every side of the box. It needed to stay in one piece! It's worth so much too...
HeeSeung needed it sent out before our mercury shipping guy comes at the standard time of 5:55 in the evening, so Laura walked over to FedEx to mail it, while I ran the front.
Later Christine came up and asked me to order all these samples. Which ended up being pretty easy because it was only two different kinds of fabric that we needed samples of - we just needed one of every color they had in each of those fabrics. And one of the styles must have had about 30 colors. But I emailed our rep about it and they should be coming on Friday.
Christine also is having me look through out library to try and find a comparable silk wallcovering fabric to one we already have. She just wants to find one with more colors ways. The one she has already comes in 20 different colors... but I guess that's not enough. So I spent the rest of the time looking through Holland & Sherry, Phillip Jeffries, and many many many other companies we have in the library trying to find a comparable silk wallcovering that comes in over 20 colors. 99% of them you can't tell just by seeing the one swatch we have in the library so I was constantly walking back to my desk to research it online and/or call the company to ask them. Needless to say I'm not done yet, and I'll be finishing the other half of christine's assignments tomorrow.
Oh and mother and Emily went back to Logan today! They left while I was at work - around 3:45 or so. Back to being on my own before my next batch of visitors come!
