Being able to sleep in after having a week of not enough sleep is a wonderful thing. So yes, my saturday didn't really start until 12:30. :) I went down to the farmers market down by union square because I wanted to get some flowers. But then I decided not to get any when I was down there thinking that it was a waste of money because I'd have to throw them out in a week anyway.
So I went back to the apartment and took some loads of laundry down to the laundromat. I'm glad I have one relatively close to my apartment. It's a nice little place and it wasn't even crowded at all today.
When that was done and I was back at the apartment I came to regret my earlier decision of not getting any flowers so I went back down the market and bought two little cute annuals. :) Only $6 for the two! 1 rudbeckia (they look like mini sunflowers) and 1 angelonia (kinda like pink/purple lavender). So glad I went back to get them!
After that I decided to visit a few places that I wanted to see. I started off by walking to that cute little tea and scone shop that I mentioned on thursday - Alices Tea Cup. Cutest little place, I'm going to see if I can get my next visitor to go there with me.
Then I walked all the way down to Bryant Park - behind the NY library. Its a very nice little park. There's tons of trees, lots of outdoor eating, a carousel, and a stage where they have performances. I sat in the park for a bit, and then made my way back home by walking. It was a lot of walking, but I wanted to see areas that I never see. So I walked over to first avenue from bryant park, and then up 20 blocks to my apartment. I made a stop at the food emporium though and bought myself more sushi for dinner. I love being able to eat that all the time now. It's my favorite!
My third visitor is coming bright and early tomorrow morning! I'm excited!
And tomorrow starts my 7th and final week here... :(
