Got up just before 9 to get ready for church at 11. It was a nice day at church - the husband of the girl that spoke last week from Logan talked today. And then a cute couple that was from Switzerland. It's neat having people from other nationalities in your ward.
When we got back - rachel wanted to shower since they didn't get up early enough to make time for both of them to shower and lauren took a nap. When rachel got out she said she had a migraine so laid down as well. So then I spent the next almost two hours waiting for them to get up. Good thing I have netflix...
Me and Lauren went out while Rachel continued to try to get rid of her migraine. We first took the train across the east river, then walked towards central park. But on the way to subway we saw that here was a Bastille Day street fair going on so we walked down the street on our way to the park. There were lots of little food tents, and places for you to sign up to join different organizations. And then we came across a stand that was selling cute poster art and cards. I got a few of them - love them all.
Then we meandered into central park and walked past the zoo. We came across a puppeteer just outside the zoo boundary that was putting on a show for kids. He was adorable with them and pretty darn good at puppetry too. It was entertaining to watch.
By the time we got back to the apartment rachel was still asleep, so we woke her up and went up to see the Seinfeld restaurant on 112th street. So great! And then we went down to Lincoln Center to see the Temple. We went inside and was told there was a singles ward activitiy going on upstairs. I didn't really want to go up... but we went anyway. Lauren took refreshments, but me and rachel didn't. I felt weird doing it.
We took some pictures outside the Lincoln Center and then went down to Washington Sq. It was raining when we got there - and lightning. We didn't linger long in the square. Just found the NQR subway and took it back home. Was pretty wet though.
Now to start my last week or work! Exciting!
