Friday!
I started off the day by contacting three of the companies that I ordered fabric samples from yesterday because the messengers that were supposed to pick up those samples and bring them to me never did - so I was wondering if the samples were still at the showroom or if I needed to contact the messenger company. Apparently all three of these companies never had a messenger pick up the fabric. Poop. So I had to recall the breakaway courier company and give them all the addresses again of where I need things picked up at. Stupid mercury...
Little things filled up the morning and before I knew it, it was almost 2 in the afternoon. I met Rachel and Lauren in the square outside work and we went to lunch at Whole Foods and then ate it in the park.
I finished up the day by doing little odd jobs here and there - making labels for packages, photoshopping some things, working in CAD a bit. It was a bit slower in the afternoon and I just wanted to leave.
I met Rachel and Lauren at my apartment after work. Actually we ran into eachother in the subway which was crazy. We decided to go to FAO Schwartz first but it ended up closing soon after we walked in which was dumb. And then we started walking down 5th avenue. We ended up going over to Rockefeller center and then over to Times Square. We went to the Disney store and Forever 21 where I bought a skirt that I shouldn't have but couldn't resist. :) And then we took the subway down to Rector st. and walked over to see the statue of liberty at night. It was pretty! But I didn't like being down there late at night and suggested we go after a bit. It would not be a good place to run into someone you wouldn't want to meet.
On the street down to our apartment two guys yelled at us from that they'd give us $100 dollars for a night. Flattering.
Soooooo grosssssssss.
It was a long day of walking and I'm tired! Bedtime!
