This morning I woke up with a plan - get to work earlier than usual so I can make sure I get a place to sit. It worked. Therefore I had things to do and work on today! It was better.
I worked on this CAD drawing of some elevations for a penthouse on the westside of central park - the residence where the custom bookcases are going. Anyway, I worked on drawing up detailed drafting elevations, and furniture drawings off and on the whole day. They take a while. But I love working in CAD. It's easy for me and I'm good at it.
I also helped Rose create invitations for everyone for a baby shower we're holding for Chatu next week in the office. So sad I won't be able to go! Well, I guess I would.. but i'd feel weird considering I won't work there anymore...
And later on in the afternoon, a HUGE thunderstorm came in suddenly. It was high 90's at one moment and then the next it was literally the hardest rainstorm I had seen in years. So cool to see it 7 floors up too. There was a massive amount of rain in a very short time.
I had no umbrella today. Poop.
Thank goodness by the time I went home the rain had kind of subsided. It was much lighter by the time I was walking home from the subway. I was glad to not get absolutely drenched.
Today was also the day I had super gross/weird/awkward experiences on my lunch break. Not sure who all reads this - but ask me about it and i'll tell you. :)
Lauren and Rachel left early this morning so my night after work was just spent tidying back up the place and resting. Oh and skyping with the family. I'm still tired from all the sleep i've lost this last week. Good thing it's almost the weekend!
2 more work days!
